In this episodes Paula Matthews teaches about what the cross should mean to every believer in Jesus Christ. INVITATION: Jesus said to his disciples, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me (Matthew 16:24).” Jesus also taught in parables saying that “the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it (Matthew 13:44-46).”
The life that Jesus offers through the cross is more than suffering. It is the eternal life of the Kingdom that can start in your life today. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord, pray this prayer right now. Dear God in Heaven, I want the life that the cross of Jesus Christ has bought for me. Forgive me of my sins. Fill me with your precious Holy Spirit. I want to know you God, and Your Son Jesus Christ, and learn about everything that is mine in Your Kingdom. Holy Spirit, teach me how to walk in the ways of the Father each and every day. Help me to forget those things which are behind me and reach forth and press toward the high calling of God in Christ. I ask this all in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
